I don't buy CDs as much as I used to (bought a house, not as much expendable income)....there are a few things I really, though, I really want, and can't even find on itunes (which has been a great source for purchasing out-of-print albums):

-Roxxi- Drive it to Ya Hard (1990-ish sleaze, listed on Amazon for $100...eff that)
-Roughhouse (see Roxxi)
-Noize Toys (more over-priced-on-Amazon sleaze)
-Artful Dodger- s/t (70's powerpop, listed on Amazon for $299)

A lot of the thrash I wanted is on itunes, like Viking, Destructor, etc.

I didn't realise the latest album by The Chasm was limited to 500 fucking copies. I wouldn't have put off buying it if I did. I'm sure it'll get a repress at some stage, but that's pretty annoying.

I don't get the reason either, surely The Chasm could get a label deal with higher distribution than that. Or is it perhaps based on some sort of desire for rarity?

The band pressed 500 copies because it's their own god damn money and they're not exactly rich. I'm pretty sure the re-press will be available soon if it's not already, since they mentioned it on their site a while ago.
