Goal: Learn more, work on more stuff, get more gear, etc.

So like the person above, I am a long time lurker on this forum, decided to register and thought I may as well introduce myself here

Name: Nick
Location: Melbourne
Age: 18
Own Band: Have two at the moment. The more metal of the two that people on here may be interested in is a death metal band called Headless
Occupation: Nothing worth listing
Musical Tastes: Lots of stuff. Mostly metal (surprise) but I'm also into industrial, proggy rock, dubstep, drum n bass, and I enjoy some blues and old funk stuff
Favorite Band: Not sure. Perhaps Cannibal Corpse, or maybe Whitechapel. I dunno, I like lots of bands haha
Favorite Album: We The Fallen by Psyclon Nine.
Favorite Producer: Stuck again hahaha. Andy's work is great. Also like a lot of what Fredrik Nordström does
Production Experience: Not much so far. Mostly recording crappy demos at home haha. But I am doing a sound production course which does give me a chance to record and mix bands in a proper studio with a fair amount of freedom, and keeps me constantly learning new stuff.
Goal: To really improve my recordings that I do at home. With what I have available to me in the studio at university, It's not hard to record and mix something that's of releasable quality. At home I'm working primarily ITB (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), and tracking in my bedroom, which is really not the best of spaces. So I really just want to learn more about maximising what I can do with what I have
Production Gear: Almost not worth listing. Computer running Pro Tools 9 LE, I use a Line 6 UX2 audio interface, AudioTechnica AT2020 condenser mic and a couple of SM57 ripoffs. I also have access to a Focusrite Liquidmix, It's just a pain to use because my computer has no firewire port, so I need to bounce all my tracks and then bring them over to another computer to use it. Oh well, it's not even mine anyway, just something I can use any time :D

That about sums me up I suppose

New here, so I'll throw in an intro late in the game :)

Name: Nick
Location: Southwest Virginia/Northeast Tennessee.
Age: 21, turning 22 in a month.
Own Band: Human Extinction Attack (still young, might name change, not sure...)
Occupation: Student in electrical engineering
Musical Tastes: Metal, Classic Rock, Prog, Classical, some jazz, a bit of pop here and there, and some radio rock. If it sounds good and doesn't compel me to destroy the speakers/musicians, I'm cool with it.
Favorite Band: Iced Earth, Children of Bodom, Behemoth, Nevermore, Megadeth, The Absence.
Favorite Album: Metallica - Ride The Lightning
Favorite Producer: Can't place it! Probably Flemming Rasmussen, Peter Tägtgren, maybe a few others who I don't even know about!
Production Experience: Zilch. All my experience is FOH so far.
Goal: To engineer/produce/mix/master my own band and make a small business in it. I love making bands sound good..
Production Gear: Incoming Macbook Pro, SM57, MXL M-80, and that's about it so far :p

Favorite Album: ATM it's "Colors" by Between The Buried and Me

Favorite Producer: Andy Sneap, Brian Hood, Kris Crummett, Sturgis, Matt Goldman and few others. But everyone I happen to like is AMAZING at the type of music they do. For me its all about having different influences in sound.

Production Experience: Been recording the last year at my place so I've done demos, an album, a bunch of EPs and singles. I've also ONLY done, drums, drum editing, or vocals for bands as well.

Goal: To learn from the best, not copy anyone else's style [just influence off of it], and create my own sound. Also attempting to get better and better with every record I produce.
