Why are Mesa Boogie so expensive in the EU?

the prices of the mesa are a shame here in Europe
i´m going to spend 5k EUR for a Roadking Series 2 and the appropriate Roadking 4x12 in a few months, hopefully.. i´m still waiting for the offer to confirm, shitloads of money but still the joy is overwhelming

of course there are many options in that price range, but a mesa is mesa, isnt it

Actually, that's not quite true. Engls are about the same in the US as they are in most parts of Europe.

For example, a Fireball will cost you about 1000 € in Europe, while they are about 1400 $ in the US, which is about 1050 €. So the difference is really negligible...

Some dude over at the Madamp (the company that puts together these really sweet amp-kits) forums built a Dual Recti clone from scratch. It was his first diy amp project!
