Why does no one make a hardware impulose loader?

Other then the two notes torpedo 101/live/cab (horridly over priced...) The axefx and digitech gsp1101. (which works but doesn't load a full response at all. only 128 samples)

It can't be that awfully complicated. :guh:

They make hardware loaders for general VST's. I've seen them when looking for some keyboard gear for a mate of mine. You could just load a cab sim software ontoone of them I'm sure

Right now I am working on such product. I think the reason that they are not common is because it is such a small market now that we have all emulation ITB, people don't want to be arsed with hardware and for the most part with amps like the axe-fx it doesn't seem very smart to get a tube amp and then need a load+di+impulse loader so you can run direct when most guitarist that have tube amps just mic their amps up.

Just because it doesn't make sense to make them though, won't stop someone like me from trying to provide such product in a small niche.

I have heard those things are pretty gutless, and are still relatively expensive. It would almost seem more logical to get the Two Notes products.

You guys do know that the countryman type 85 DI box can also be used as a load box right?

Ive used it to send my 5150 into lecab.

For recording purposes it should be what you are looking for.

Rest assured guys, I and another Programmer from the forum are working hard on both a software and hardware impulse loader that will change the way you look at impulses. The hardware version will be a loadbox as well, with a line out and should hopefully be in the 300-350 USD range. Much cheaper than the two notes stuff.

On a side note, when that is done, we should begin working on a hardware user uploadable multi sample drum trigger module.

Just stay patient guys.

The type 85 can't be used as a loadbox, it can only be used as a DI that sits between the amp and the load and/or speaker to get the sound after the power amp. Not to toot my own horn but since I released the Corvus Loadbox, the onboard DI and line out conditioning works much better than the DI into mic pre that is sandwiched between an amp and load/speaker and is much cheaper. Unfortunately most people don't know about it because I have little funds for advertisement, so most of my sales are here or from word of mouth.

Besides, the OP wants a hardware impulse loader, not a loadbox.

I just remembered, there's a guy that make a cab sim stomp box for $100. Sells them on eBay. Kind of makes everything sound like an AMT stomp box from my recollection, so you wont get your IRs. There's a VST loader out there that is like $800, but that means you can load up your amp sims, IRs, and effects so if you like something that much then you can take it with you without your laptop.

Can't wait to see this $300 range IR loader though. I really wanted to use something like that with Eleven Rack, but they stopped development (and teased us with talking about user IRs all the while).
