ok hoping you guys can see Angra touring in the future, i wil post a note about their concert in Japan.. they toured with Nightwish last week here.
sorry if there is any expression you can't understandor my wrong grammer or misspelling.
Tokyo "Shibuya-Ax" 16 & 17, June
Shibuya Ax is a middle sized venue with Capacity of 2-3 thousands.
Brazilian Angra and Finish Nightwish got together in this capital city of Asian island.
I went to see them on both dates, on the first day I was in the first row, almost the center, pressured from the back again and my waist was like 5cm depth!
it was hard but so fun, i love to bang my head freely!
on the second day i saw the show in front of the mixing table. so i could see the whole stage with better sound. Nightwish played about for 1h and half, Angra did more than 2h so 4 hours in total! i'll write here what i felt seeing them

Tarja was beautiful.. her figure, voice, move, everything was beautiful. her vocals were totally under control and sound & light guys doing great job to raise up their theatrical atmosphere very much!
On stage, from left to right, Tuomas, Marco, Jukka, Tarja, and Emppu were positioning in a good balance and that was most effective when Marco and Tarja took the twin vocal. Emppu was always running around the stage to entertain the audience, it was soooo cute!
Jukka, aiming at Mike Portney with Tommy Lee at heart, was slamming the strong beat along with Marco's bass. on the second day, Vodka seemed to have effected him too much tho. At that night, Marco sung a Pink Floyd song instead of Megadeth.
i was very much impressed by The Phantom Of The Opera and Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan especially. And of course Everyone at the venue became one at Wish I Had An Angel. Very good show it was!

this was my 5th time to see Angra..their album Rebirth had a big impact on me, i had to go through the hardest time of my "rebirth" back then, and this title tune helped and healed me a lot. so if you asked me which band changed your life, i would say Angra.
And this album Temple of Shadows was my best album 2004. so you might be able to imagine how i felt when the ceiling lights were finaly tuned off and Intro started.. it was Deus Le Volt and gave me goose bumps... on the first day this intro part was little bit too long, so next day they started intro with the ceiling light on, and the house light gradually faded out and light show began, which was much better than the first trial.
Intro turned into Spread Your Fire! audience went nuts! me? of course! jumped and banged and sung! my voice has been lost!
Waiting Silence, Acid Rain, Nothing To Say ... you can't stop me! Angra have massive loyal fans here so almost every audience raising their fists or horns up and shouting chorus parts!
Stage crew brought some percussions on stage and Kiko started to sing.. intro of Carolina IV!! i never expected to hear this favorite tune live! i danced and banged and sung again .
After this song, accoustic guitars were set in front of Kiko and Rafa. then started No Pain For The Dead, which gave me goose bumps again. sorry that Sabine's part was just the taped one (we somewhat expected that Tarja might join and help this part) but still, it was a beautiful tune to listen live. next song had that unique intro, Angels And Demons which was one of the most impressive songs on that night followed by an old song Never Understand. Then here comes a quiet song again, Edu introduced in Japanese "we are going to sing a song about our dreams"..Wishing Well.
Next, Aqiles showed off his "octpus" drumming, continuing mighty The Temple Of Hate which was also another impressive song on that night! audience got into frenzie singing loudly! we missed Kai's voice though!
Spotlight hit Kiko and he started to play solo.. he was incredible!! he is my most favorite guitarist and he is much better than the last time, still growing and it's amazing. then we could hear the intro part of Heroes Of Sand from REBIRTH.. then my most favorite song of all, Rebirth, title tune from the previous album.
This time spotlight hit another side of stage, Rafael's Solo. He said later he was in bad condition - he had fever - but he seemed 100% energetic on stage.. actually most of the people there thought he did the best play on that night. starting to play spanish guitar intro of The Shadow Hunter, he invited all of us to the world of crusadors.. brillient song!
Last song was their classic Angels Cry. could it be the end? no!
After some interval, backdrop was changed into the image of Rebirth cover. here comes the intro of Unfinished Allegro - Carry On, In Excelsis - Nova Era no word needed! my neck is so sore! i wished this moment would last forever!
In spite of my wish, shows were over. but i can say, i'm still so happy that i could be there.
additional thoughts;
* the sound was better at nightwish.
* Filipe was so good at singing
* each "new" members performance was improved a lot and their weights in this band became bigger. at the same time, Edu's vocal got a little rougher at some stage.
* Edu did all the song announcements in Japanese, wow
* songs from their latest album require high skills and i wondered if these can be delivered at live exactly as the recording. i admit at some parts they simplized the tune, but most of the part they were perfectly played.
so 16th Sep - you can't miss their play, can you???
