I considering purchasing win7 x 64 and install via bootcamp. Am i able to run fruity loops / kontakt 2 player? im installing win7 mainly for gaming.. so audio is just secondary. thx :)

From what i understand, there basically are no Win7 drivers, but MOST Vista drivers work perfectly in Win7.. so the answer is: We cant know, it all depends on what hardware you use.

Edit: something glitched, so admins please remove my other posts in this thread please. ;(

fair enough. Im on snow leopard running boot camp 3.0..
ah man. i think i shud bite the bullet and try it.

I have nothing to add except dfhs doesn't work with 64bit Cubase on win7 but it does with 32bit cubase.

And presonus firewire interfaces will not work on windows 7 64bit at all. completey fucks up the computer when you go to load their buggy control centre thingo.

that is all.

ok i decided to not bite the bullet. Thx for the heads up ya oz dingo.

Like all new OS, its best to wait until after a year or so of release for bugs and issues to be worked out. Everyday life offers enough headache without adding more into our hobbies that escape us from it all. Thats how I see it, anyway.

I think your gonna see most manufactures get things up and running on Win7 (32 and 64bit) a lot quicker then they did on Vista.

Win7 is what Vista should've been. I'm digging it more than XP now that I've gotten used to it.
