Windsor Test 2. (Great DIRT CHEAP all-tube amp!)

Hey all,

Thought I'd add a second clip to the tests... This one is quite faster & heavier. Sorry if I'm not as "Grim&Troo" as a few of you guys, but this is the heaviest thing I could think of off the top of my head.

Its kind of rough and dirty tone or something not as tight and focused as id like but it has plesent certain something that i cant put my finger on all and all for the cost of the amp id call it a result score

Hmmm...definitely like that tone. It's just what I need for some of the stuff I like to work on. Hmm...getting ideas in my head about shopping this weekend.

Did you try it with a tubescreamer in front? The tone sounds good but the palm mutes lack a bit of definition and sound somewhat mushy. Maybe a TS would do the trick.

I think it sounds pretty cool. A bit dark, but definately cool. Pretty metal sound for an amp that looks like a fuckin suitcase!

What was the mic situation for this?
