Working on new song, opinions on mix...(ezx, podxt)

This might just be me but i REALLY HATE EZ drummer/EZX Snares, they have that disgusting "ping" to them.

If possible, change out the snare.

Cymbals sound a bit thin too.


Guitars however, sound awesome.

Yeah... i am a fan of that kind of snare though, and Ismar, if you like this snare sample, you should try out that snare that loads up with that clawfinger reason bass.. it sounds the same and pretty good!

Right.. on to the mix, what i really really like is the guitar sound! It's the bass that compliments that tone bigtime, but that's what mixing is all about, no?

Sounds good man... Has a nice crunch in it!

I have to agree the guitars sound nice, i don't fancy the drums however. The guitars are pretty in-your-face, whereas the drums are a bit to the background and lacking attack and power, IMO.
