Worship music leaked

@Stormidiot: so preferring old Thrax to Bushthrax does make one an irritating cunt? nice theory, you are, have always been and will always be the ONLY crapper-fly on this board, that's really something you can be proud of, you can't be proud of your pathetic attempt at 'Symphony Of Destruction'.

WTF are you smoking today? Have you been eating funny mushrooms? No one mentioned anything like that. You're irritating because that's your character, it's as simple as that, nothing to do with musical preference. You're just an annoying person.

What, that I prefer Bay Area thrash to German thrash? You obviously have never been to more than one Kreator show or you'd know that they're all the same. I didn't say I didn't like Kreator, just that I find German thrash to be a little too cold. Sodom is nice, though.

No No, you never said anything about Bay Area Thrash and not even comparing to anything. LOL, admit it Cold is your own made up word and no one has a clue what it can really mean. Ive never looked as Kreator, Destruction or Sodom as a German Thrash band. They have all are considered part of the Thrash Family. Some bands maybe labeled differently but not Kreator. Possessed was from Bay Area and sounded nothing like Testament. Testament is probably the top band out of Bay Area. Alex is god yea, but musically I think Kreator is a better band musically and having more material out that kicks ass.

Ive seen Kreator 3 times between 1990-2009, and have a bunch of live stuff. Seems weird to say Im a bigger fan of Anthrax and Testament but I will recognize Kreator is a better band then any of the Big 4 and even Testament.

    LMFAO!!!! Are you fucking kidding me?!?!? Dude, do you even play an instrument?!?!?! You think I invented the term "cold" to describe how music is played and composed?!?!?! No wonder you can't understand where I'm coming from if you can't grasp such a base notion as "coldness" in music. You know what, just ignore everything else I say because it's obviously miles over your head. I'm begging you, PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE TROLLING. PLEEEEEEEAAAAAASSSSEEEEE. You've just set whatever intellectual progress metal has made back about 30 years.

However, just in case it comes to you, I'm gonna say it again: learn how to comprehend the English language. Ok, here you go:

I could never really get into German thrash that much...it's much too cold for me. It's fun for a while but then it just gets stale. I think I'm more of an American thrash type of guy.

Dude, aside from Anthrax, there is only ONE thrash scene in America as far as I'm concerned, and that's the Bay Area. Where is the confusion here? Were you thinking I was talking about that faggoty metalcore bullshit or something?

I've been listening to metal since I was 5 years old and listening to speed metal since Anthrax released SoE and Metallica released AJFA. I was 11 at the time. I've been to more death, black, and thrash shows than you have albums. I grew up in a backwater, hick fucking college town in Louisiana and I was the ONLY one in my high school blasting Deth, Thrax, Slayer, Testament, Metallica, and Pantera while everyone else was jerking off to fucking Nirvana and Pearl Jam. You don't know dick about me and you obviously don't understand reading comprehension, so go die in a fire.

I wouldn't be surprised if I've been listening to Anthrax longer than you've been alive. I certainly hope so for your sake, because if you're an actual adult this stupid, I beg you never to procreate.

I've got you beat by many years. I was born in 1975 and have 3 older sisters. My oldest sister when to highschool with Joseph Linquito aka - Joe Lynn Turner who sung for Rainbow, Yngwie Malmsteen and Deep Purple. Oldest sister also dated one the managers for Rush. My other sister when to highschool with members of Hades. Majority of them were from my town and I remember 3yo hanging out in their basement as they practiced.

I grew up to Classic Rock and early Metal. I remember when Speak of The Devil and every Maiden album was first released. Winter of 1982 I earned money from shoveling peoples driveways and my dad took me to Crazy Eddie to buy my first record - Judas Priest Screaming for Vengeance. I was 7 3/4 years old!! Only a few months away from 8yo.

I grew up in the best part of the country so Fuck the Bay Area. I could be perfectly happy with Anthrax, Overkill, Nuclear Assault, Agnostic Front, The Ramones and everything east coast...not listening to anything else in the world.

I lived in Paramus with had the famous Sam Ash that got lot of mentions from Thrash bands in their thanks section on their albums/tapes/cds..etc The Misfits lived next town over from me in Lodi. Less then 1 1/2 miles away. I knew all them growing up. We were all close with tons of Death Metal bands Immolation, Incantation, Cannibal Corpse...they were originally from NY.

Had a friend that died from a motorcycle accident and Biohazard did a benefit concert for him. I know lot of stuff went down with Billy Milano at the China Club in Hillsdale,NJ in the late 1980's

The album is great, the tracks are awesome, especially with the range of diversity shown by the band on this one from Earth on Hell to Crawl. I'm not even much of a fan of Joey's singing and I thought he did a very good job on this album. I only have ONE problem with it. The loudness war has claimed yet another CD. I had to fix the entire thing. If you drop the tracks' amplitude by 6.5 db, apply a 30-band equalizer to it, and adjust the levels with your bass and treble levels on the sound card adjusted approximately where your stereo equipment's will be (use noise canceling headphones to get the most accurate result), it can be fixed. Now I can crank it in the car without distorting it like crazy, and the drums have PUNCH again.

Blacks and Rappers came up with the term Cold in the mid 1980's. It's a form of getting Dissed.

No. That's not what I'm talking about. When musicians of ALL types, especially metal, mention how something sounds "too cold", "too sterile", or "too clinical", it's a metaphor for something sounding too mechanical, almost without a human touch. It's a term used a lot in classical music as well.

Some genres are by their nature very cold and clinical, such as black metal. Meshuggah is a very cold band, although they don't really fit in any category. Emperor was a very cold band. Sometimes it's a positive thing, but for me I don't like thrash if it's done too sterile or cold. One of my bands is a black/orchestral/industrial hybrid and we purposefully play in a cold, clinical way because of the story it's based on. All our instruments are live. Here's an example of the opening track:

Thisun's a little more melodic but it really starts to pick up and get a bit thrashy at about the 3 minute mark. Listen to how fast the down picking is and how it transforms into tremolo picking and back without missing a single beat during "Activation, activation, activation...detaaaaaaaaach!!!!"...almost like a machine. This is cold. Also the contratempo shortly after that.

Also, you're 3 years older than me. Not what I would call, "beaten by many years". I know I came across pretty harsh towards you, but I sorta dislike people making broad, sweeping assumptions about me when they don't even know me.

the term 'cold' is used when there is no feeling in the music, a piece of music can be executed well but when there is no feeling then it's cold. in classical music usually asians are known for their 'cold' performances, everything is well executed note for note but sometimes the feeling is missing, probably it sounds too 'cold' when it's too perfect.

I just think Cold is a very bad example. I don't see any difference between Kreator, Overkill and Slayer in concert. They put on a great set and performance relies to the Pit and Crowd. They are not Marilyn Manson and Alice Cooper putting on a stage act. When I see Slayer Live I get the feeling when they are done, they are like ok fuck you guys goodnight and walk off.

i know you don't like to look in the mirror that i put in front of your face sometimes, i also wouldn't like to look in the mirror if i was the pathetic crapper-fly that did the probably worst cover ever of 'Symphony Of Destruction'

Wow. Gold star for you! I couldn't have said it better myself! In fact, I was associating asian orchestras with that when I typed it. Bravo, sir!

I've seen Slayer twice in two weeks before and both shows were identical to each other. Even Araya's banter was exactly the same, word for word. While I wouldn't say their style is necessarily cold, their live show definitely has a "rehearsed" feeling to it.

What's the most intense live show you've ever seen, guys? For me it was Behemoth.

I'm beginning to like this forum...wish I had come here sooner. I like the fact you guys can throw shit at each other and no one really gets their panties in a bunch.

lol, it's true. It took me over 6 months to get into Sound Of White Noise when it came out. Id like to say Worship Music is by far the worst Anthrax out of all that they released. The real test will be what the next album will sound like with Joey back.

No way in hell will WM go down in history as worse than Stomp.

Stomp was an embarrassment that should be thrown in the garbage.
