... Or if you just love GREAT music- You need to hear
Seventh Avenue's 'Between The Worlds'.
The CD opens with a short celtic sounding battle hymn with brief narration... OH NO (not another wannabe Rhapsody)!! Lucikily, narration is minute & apart from a few seconds in the first song, I don't recall hearing anymore.
The first song begins like a typical Stratovarius song for about 30 seconds - Then it takes on the ever distinctive Celesty approach & breaks open with vocals similar to Manowar (which surface throughout the album). Admittedly, the vocals are often stretched & can become a bit annoying but to me it is a minor setback.
Musically, the album is brilliant and one of the best truelly epic powermetal releases I've heard in a long time. It is full of catchy melodies, excellent riffs and awesome guitar leads. If you like Celesty's frist 2 albums, Dreamtale, or Six Magic's "Dead Kings...." I recommend this CD.
