Stereotypes we get down here are
"Do the high school kids really ride horses to school?"
"Does everyone where cowboy hats and cowboy boots?"
"Does everyone really talk with the accent like in the movies?"

Ususally shit like that, and I just laugh in their face, because they are just dumb.

Awesome community, I must say. Instead of being like most neighborhoods in the US that just strip the land completely of all trees, and then start from stratch like a cookie cutter community, The Woodlands built the houses around the trees. That's not to say they didn't have to cut some trees down, but they didn't strip the land.

It is a rule for 40% of each yard to be covered by trees (large or small), and I/we cannot cut down a tree without a permit unless it is posing a danger to a house or people (i.e. a dead tree).
