I am trying to get the hang of Re-amping at home, with a very basic setup, before employing it to record our new tunes.

I am using Logic Platinum and an Audiogy2 Soundblaster Sound card. trying to do this as simply as possible I am recording a clean guitar signal in. When i then play the track back through the output into the X-amp the resulting signal is very low.

I have put a pre-amp between the sound card output and the X-amp, and this seems to work nicley, but seems to be defeating the object.

Cheers,

Sonny

can i substitute the +4db for a pre amp or will that colour the sound too much??

I'm looking at a new soundcard - would the M-audio delta series have the neccessary output i need?

It probably does have a +4 output: More than likely he has his dry signal routed to a stereo output & the X-Amp is only getting half the signal.

Seems like I have to keep repeating this, but here we go again:
MONO YOUR DRY OUTPUT!!!!
