Who experienced Saturday's Dallas performance? Though beset by amp problems, Symphony X carried on admirably. Russell's a true professional and charismatic frontman who truly appreciates the crowd. But wassup with Michael Romeo's amp setup?! Roadies failed to repair a faulty Line 6 head, then carted out a POD rack system that didn't work, either. The Line 6 head soon reappeared, yet Michael played through the rack anyhow. And his guitar wasn't even audible until the third song! And even then, only his leads cut through the mix. I hope he gets his amp repaired before the next gig. If so, the audience should be prepared for a stellar show.
