Guys,
we ended up in Penrith yesterday for an ultrasound.

Lithgow stopped doing them, and Katoomba wanted $140.

Penrith bulk billed.

Are they just screwing Lithgarians, or is it $140 for everyone there ?

Yet to have our first one but if that is the case looks like I am going to Penrith. Although my doctor sent me to Barrat and Smith on Monday for the routine blood tests. He put a stamp on the referal you get saying "please Bilk Bill this patient".
I really prefer to give birth at Nepean as I know they have an outstanding Maternity Ward and Post Natal care. But if I can't go there I will be at Blue Mountains District.

An hour and three quarters I think.

The Great Western Goat-track leaves something to be desired.

At least it makes a nice day out. Leave mid morning, baby sleeps in the back. Stop, have lunch at a steakhouse. have an ultrasound, and then hop in the truck while the baby sleeps a bit.

We were driving back discussing names and whatnot.

We asked Rhiannon what a good name would be.

"Jam".

"Do you really think Jam would be a good name for a baby brother or sister ?"

"Yes Thankyou Mummy".

"Why is Jam a good name ?"

"Like Jam Mummy.....Red Jam."

Well Lithgow is forty minutes from us and so is Penrith, so yeah, it's about an hour and a half give or take a few red lights and cowboy truck drivers who think that the yellow light means "go faster".

Nah, the schoolyard would be hell.....we used to call it "Vaginamite" when we were kids.
