Hi
What do you think about those monitors? Are they better than Behringer Truth? (I know behringer is shit but I've heard good things about truth  )
Moreover, Tue Madsen uses both Hs50 and Truth for all his things..

I believe Broodwich has these. I think he mentioned that the Sub is required but can't remember if he had that also. I have the HS80's in a small room and I don't seem to get an exaggerated Low-end, in case you are considering the 50's because of room size.

Here's the deal. They kick a lot of ass as a consumer reference set but they're also a really really good main set for a home setup. You're right about the sub being important but I've gotten around it by using a set of headphones to check my low end to make sure its not out of control. But it has the clearest midrange of any other set I checked out and I dont get any nasty surprises when I hear my mixes on my stereo or in my car

used to use them and they're really good,
very clear and defined.

anyway I replaced them with ms5pa, cause I just had the feeling that my mixes on those translate better to other systems than with the hs-50.
with the hs-50 you really have to watch you lows and low-mids.
