I will admit that I teared up as Obama came out, and a few times during his speech. I really hope this is just the beginning of change, but the country needs to stick with it and realize that it's NOT going to happen in four years.

Palin/Wurtzelbacher 2012

^ I felt the same way (eyes teared a little) but for personal, racial related reasons. As a foreigner, for me, it's just really good to see change like this because it shows that not all is bad, that people are still capable of evolving and seeing past appearance. It's positive.

EDIT: @ Dodens

I'm glad I don't have to look at McCains stumpy fucking arms. WTF was with that any way, did someone chop his elbows off or what? And those fucking beetle eyes. WTF.

So, anyway...

I'm going to bed. This night has been a night to remember, and a night to go down in history. I didn't vote for Obama (as many of you know); but I feel a sense of accomplishment regarding his victory. Even if Obama's term ends up being a disappointment, I think we can still say that America achieved something. Congratulations everyone. Despite all the times we bitch and debate with each other, let's remember one thing: we're all together in this.

Good night, and good luck!

Yes, I'm glad the first ever election I've voted in has been a victory for my candidate, a historical election, one that may end up changing a lot around here for the better, one that will strengthen our diplomacy with hostile and even friendly nations and one that is as incredibly supported as Obama's. Good night folks.

The question now is, how long is it going to take before someone tries something ugly on Obama? I really hope nothing happens. The US needs Obama, and the world needs to see America go through some positive change.

McCain had a fucking good concession speech too.

Yeah, I just watched it, and I was very impressed by the sincerity and the message he put forth. It was nice to finally hear him talk without all the campaign bullshit mixed in, cause he actually sounds like a pretty good guy outside of all that.

Btw, if anyone wants to see a really good Obama video, go on Youtube and look up his interview with Katie Couric from Sunday (the 2nd).

edit: the video title is "Obama on Election Day"
