Still pwning n00bs on Halo!
I respect anyone who got out and voted, no matter how they voted! But the people have spoken. I think if McCain hadn't picked Palin, he probably would've had a good shot at it. Many people were put off by her and her extreme right wing ways. Trying to ban abortions, removing polar bears from the endangered species list, teaching creationism in public schools, and abstinence INSTEAD of sex ed put a lot of people off from her.
I voted the way I did because I believe this man (and his "cracka" haha) can get things done and help ALL classes of America, not just the UPPER class like McCain wanted to do. I just couldn't believe anything McCain said. It didn't bother me that he's as old as he is. I think he has the experience, but I just couldn't believe him. I will give him credit for trying and for being very gracious in his speech. I have a high amount of respect for him for serving his country also. I think it's very admirable to lay your life on the line for your country and there's nothing more patriotic than doing so.
I don't care if Obama is a Muslim and I do not believe for one second he is a terrorist. Anyone who thinks so needs to have a nice physc evaluation. But hell I think all religion is bs. <br>
Hell if McCain picked Ron Paul, I just might have voted for him! Ron Paul is a great man and I know he will be one of the first Republicans to "walk across the aisle" so to speak. I'm SICK of the country being red vs blue. It's time for both parties to UNITE!
I know it'll take a while for Republicans to get up, dust themselves off, and meet Democrats in the middle. But I believe if they do, this country will be stronger than it ever was before. I believe Obama has the power to finally bring the parties together. I say give him a chance and let's see what this man can do. You never know until you try!
I love all of my friends, no matter how they voted. Voting is an important part of being an American and anyone who did so deserves a massive amount of respect. You CAN make a difference when you vote, even if your team loses.
