I woke up to let the cat out at 4:30am...was standing at the dorr and thought to myself "that wind is particularly icy". Looked down the drive "is that snow" walked down in only socks and thin pj's.

It is it is it is. I was instantly wide awake jumping about the place.

It was full throw snow balls and make a small snow man.It was about an inch deep. When the photos are developed I will post them.We are expecting more.

Got up to let the husky/malamute cross out at 2AM and there was snow everywhere. The Elkhound stayed inside until 10 (she's not sill about snow anymore)

Whe Rhiannon woke up this morning, we put her new gumboots on over her pyjamas, and went out to crunch around in it, and throw it around.

I adore winter. It's a much better environment for the telling of scary stories. Would I have been able to start a chapter with "The earthly remains of Anita Owens stared out at the world through empty eye sockets" in the middle of summer? I think not!

It isn't that I don't like the cold, but my job is so much more enjoyable in hot weather.

How can she stare out at the world if she's in a skip? Maybe staring at the sky, or even at the side of a skip, but staring out at the world is just crazy talk.

Nah, you'd be better off moving the whole thing to a desert.
