YOLOCORE.

mexicore, lol
....I can't decide what's stupider/more generic...the band name or the song title.

would still hit that purple haired chick....in 3 years when she turns 18.

damn, awful grammar and spelling in their lyrics

It's basically Paramore with a chubby hispanic singer and some "growls". So I don't understand all the hate.

This video/song is way "better" than what 99% of all bands here on this board produce (oh, now I understand all the envy ... I mean ... dislike! ;) ). And even though I don't dig the looks of the singer at all, she'll score huge in the "average girl" and "regular metaldude" demographics and probably even higher in the local hispanic Cali teenage-scene.

This band and video is actually so well "designed" that it's fun for me to listen/watch, because someone did everything right. And 20k views in 2 weeks isn't too bad for a start.

whatever works doesn't have to be good, whatever might be good doesn't have to work.

i think i have a looming analogy to concentration camps - well designed, not really beneficial to humanity

I'm willing to bet at least 75% of those views have been from 12 year old's and the last 15% were the people like us that had to watch it because how retarded it is.

Man, Godwin showed up really quickly! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_law)

99% of all music is boring, useless, made by idiots who happen to have an instrument that they can or can't play and is thoroughly unenjoyable. The problem is that 100% of the world population can't agree on what the 1% of enjoyable music is - with metal fans being some of the least open-minded of all (even though they pretend to be).

With that in mind: it's still amazing to me that on a board of "producers" a (in every aspect) well produced band gets so much hate when they are doing everything right, while in a thousand threads on the same board the "producers" whine about all the bands they are forced to work with who do everything wrong.

I have nothing against chubby hispanic people, but Paramore with some growls.
:puke:
No thanks.

Yeah, but than again if we'd all jump in this thread and agree how a perfectly designed product we have witnessed, it would be a bit awkward wouldn't it ?

It always comes down to taste, and while some bands I feel are worth creating a special bubble of objectivism, this one is not.

No, it wouldn't be awkward, it'd be rare and good - cause it never happens.

You really think that the mindset of "I dislike this band for whatever personal reasons that have nothing to do with the actual product they put out so I'm gonna trash it to make myself feel better!" is in any way more useful than ignoring it?

Mhhh.. Gotta disagree.. This band (or in fact this video) doesn't look well produced to me. The lipsyncing is quite off, the arrangement of the song is pretty bad, it has a somewhat cheap feeling overall. Still I assume they will attract quite some attention (threads like this one add to this).
