Your 2 Minute Guitar Solo...

I can't solo for shit, though I do enjoy pretending, so I've recorded a couple astonishingly bad wank fests:

No, my name is NOT Edward

Steve Petrucci's Rising Farce

I'm yet another one who lives for the riff. Got no aspirations of being "well-rounded" or "versatile".

When styles go wrong, it's electro-shred time. When there's some strong crack missing, blame it on the Ghetto-shred. :p

Hmmm....the only thing I have online or on my computer that exceeds 2 minutes is this online collaboration with a friend of mine. He provided the backing track and I played all the lead guitar. It's more than 2 minutes.....4 minutes 47 seconds to be exact. It's not wankery, but mostly just quirky melodic stuff, with a tap-fest at the end. It's a wierd piece of music, but I like it. it was just a couple takes of improv really.

Well, I haven't posted any of my stuff before because I'm still trying to get my shit together to record some decent sounds. Anyway, here's an instrumental I wrote with my old band that never saw the light of day... I guess it fits in the two minute category. Just a live drum track with me overdubbing sloppy guitar wankery through a POD.

I say..never accept the term rhythm guitar player..there is no such thing.:) Thats like saying Im a drummer but I dont play fills. Explore that instrument

and dont worry if your not polished. Page was not real polished. but his solo's had such emotion. Just listen to the Live Zep album. He keeps your interest for 15 minute solo's
