I've been working a lot with my new setup, and got this:

Chain is: TS808 -> Soldano X88R -> Furman PQ4 -> Mesa Boogie Simul-Class 2:90 -> Mesa Boogie Traditional 412 -> (one) SM57
I'm pretty happy with it : )

Its not really clear what amp 5150 was based on actually, except that it was based a Soldano(From what ive heard from ampbuilders, 5150 and SLO are VERY different.).

I am not saying that this is the best guitar tone you will ever hear but if you want to hear a single track and then quadtracked in a mix then check these files out:

The song is Behindert's (he posts here for those that do not know). The DI's were quite a low level and badly clipped, but I like the aggressive sound. Before anyone says "turn the amp gain down" it was already on 2 (out of 10) . It is a brutal song.

Definitely not the best tone known to man, no bass, and only a short example, but hope it helps.

This is probably the best tone I've ever recorded.
Could be mixed better though, for definate.

Just did a little micing test earlier, br00talz tone.

In terms of a metal clip I would say I liked this one best. No raw tracks but it fit the mix. Used my Mesa Mark IV.

my favorite guitar tone I've achieved has been with my XXX and my Maxon OD808 miked with a single 57 on my Madison 4x12 with V30's...Here's the clip (in the mix):

It's just the Addictive Drums demo. I replaced the snare and kick with my own kick sample dealio (it's a sample made from many other samples, lol) and the Sneap snare sample.
