Tubescreamers, GearBox, Protools???

does it really make your guitar sound better going tubescreamer-gearbox tone direct- protools? to get the edgy, grinding, baby goat choaking sound out of a guitar? im not a guitarist so im just asking to know for future instances? what does it actually do to the sound?

Never tried Gearbox, heard many places that the POD TS isn't nearly as good as a hardware TS. Fucking hell, $40 for a TS7, nobody gets to complain.

Again... read the FAQ, it's there for a reason. There is *no* excuse for not making good use of something that's completely free and explains more than most people I know have ever needed, and if you still have questions ask them there or PM me.
