Your duty as an American citizen.

One thing I'd like to add:
People seem to confuse the actions of our current administration as the will or the essence of the country as a whole, ie if you don't like what the government is doing now, somehow that means that you think America sucks.

I do not support the current administration. I have though about the current presidential term and the last one and I honestly believe that in 100 years they will be looked at as the worst terms in our nation's history. However, that does not mean in the least that I'm a troop hating tree hugging America hater. Quite frankly, this country is great, there IS a reason that millions of people immigrate here. I will never be ashamed to be an American, no matter how much I disapprove of the governments actions.

Well, Clinton wasn't much better. Bush Snr and Reagan were certainly worse. LBJ was, in all likelyhood, a lameduck President to the powers that helped him usurp office. 50 years of shady American politics that have heavily affected the world stage has people pissed at America, and with due cause. It's hardly just the past 7 years and the "BUSH LEADS AN EVIL EMPIRE" theory that is at work here.

Nonetheless, behind all that nonsense, America is full of good and genuine people. I always have fun when I visit, always meet awesome folks. So, on the ground, all that other bullshit hardly matters.

As for that tape, it's shoddy- jumbled with perceptive points laden down by out-right conspiracy theories. My dislike of it only speaks to my fondness for veracious arguments, nothing more.

George Bush is too stupid to even put a sentence together, what makes you think he can put a whole plan of "lets shoot the Pentagon" together???
George Bush is a marionette to his advisors. Surely you can see that?

So why would "we" hire terrorist to take the twin towers down, but not the Pentagon?
See, I'm not saying that that is what happened, but if you don't even realize that there is a possibility that it happened that way (there is definite proof the the U.S. let the attacks happen!), and if you immediately dispose of all theories as ridiculous without even understanding what brought them into existence, then the people who do plan such things will get away with it every time.

Again, I'm not saying the U.S. did it themselves, but you better believe that Bush and consorts didn't see them as a terrible thing, but rather as a great occasion to go knock at Iraq's door.

^ Dear Stormo,
That video is VERY old, and those theories came in and out of any inteligent individual'a mind. Of course I "realize" that it *might* be the case, and it's no secret that Iraq was just an excuse
(I fucking HATE HATE HATE Bush, mmmK?)
and YES, the Bush administration recieved the folder with the warning that
there might be an attack in NYC, and ignored it
BUT....................................................
Do you realize how many other things they recieve and they ignore as well ?

to shoot a missle on the Pentagon, and pretand you don't care about 9/11 is absurd.
Like Max said: Bush is the worst president that ever happened to this country, and thank the lords that these are his last years.
I honestly doubt it though, that "BUSH's" people PLANNED AN ATTACK ON THEMSELVES!
comeeeeeeeee onnnnn....... they are all evil and horrible, but cooommeeee the fuck onnnnnnnn!
Think about it for more than the 5 minutes you have already, think about it and try to ignore the "hatered" you feel towards America, and see it with an
objective light.

people who see a "conspiracy" video and immidiately believe in it, are no different than the people in Iran who watch a conspiracy theory of how "AMERICA STOLE THEIR MONEY AND GAVE IT TO THE JEWS"
videos and then hate America.... the only difference is: most people in Iran/ Iraq/ etc
are not educated enough to understand it, so they are being controlled easily.
But what's the difference?

errr...

It's disappointing to see that people actually think I or anyone else could ever agree with EVERYTHING said in ANY book, documentary, fucking gay porn film, history book, etc.

Watch his reaction when they told him the news about 9/11 and tell me it wasn't genuine dismay and fear.
Okay. It wasn't genuine dismay and fear.

YES, the Bush administration recieved the folder with the warning that
there might be an attack in NYC, and ignored it
BUT....................................................
Do you realize how many other things they recieve and they ignore as well ?
No one blamed them for the folder. But when three Intelligence agencies (the UK, France and Germany) alert you that "terrorists are intending to hijack aircraft and attack civilain targets with them", then you might take things a bit more seriously. However, even that could be a slip. But when the first plane was hijacked, the FAA waited almost half an hour to relay the info to NORAD, and NORAD themselves waited almost the same time to relay the info to the Air Force. Now, close to NY, there are F-15s (I think, could be F-14s or F-16s as well, interceptors at any rate) standing by for especially those cases. But what do they send? F-16s stationed several hundred kilometres away.

Okay, so maybe they didn't take it too seriously, and the first plane crashes in the first WTC tower, maybe due to good old laxness. It's possible. But when the secodn plane is hijacked, the exact same procedure repeats itself: the FAA sits on its ass for over half an hour, NORAD takes its sweet time to notify the Air Force, and again, fighters are scrambled at an airstrip hundreds of kilometres away, while the interceptors just outside NYC are given the order to stay put.

Do you consider this logical? You'd expect them not to waste a second after the first kamikaze, but instead they just let the second one crash the exact same way.

And I'm assuming you haven't been told this by your media, but a while ago, the U.S. government had the plan of shooting down a U.S. passenger liner with one of their own planes disguised in Cuban colours. Don't think that the people in your government care about human life. They don't.

they are all evil and horrible, but cooommeeee the fuck onnnnnnnn!
Look at what I said above! If this doesn't at least make you critical of what happened, then I don't know anymore.

Think about it for more than five minutes you have already, think about it and try to ignore the "hatered" you feel towards America, and see it with an objective light.
Objective light? I daresay I'm far more objective than most of you are. All I'm trying to get you to do is actually think about the things said in this thread, instead of dismissing them altogether. And for your information, I have no hatred of America, especially for its citizens. The only hatred I have is for the conniving, manipulating, orchestrating bastards that are running your country. And that didn't just appear overnight.

people who see a "conspiracy" video and immidiately believe in it, are no different than the people in Iran who watch a conspiracy theory of how "AMERICA STOLE THEIR MONEY AND GAVE IT TO THE JEWS"
videos and then hate America....
And people who see a conspiracy video and immediately dismiss it are no better either, and are the reason that conspirators get away with it so easily. Not saying you're that way, but many people are. Indeed, people who believe everything they hear are dangerous, but not as dangerous as those who refuse to even listen to what's being told.

So why would "we" hire terrorist to take the twin towers down, but not the Pentagon? did we run out of money at some point and after years of planning "we" decided to just shoot a missle at the
Pentagon instead of crashing a plane into it??
Come on... what about the moon??? was that a conspiracy as well?!?!
gosh darn it, thank god someone came up with this theory!!!!!!!!!1111one!!!!

The images of the two burning buildings are in everyone's memory now forever. A major attack on US soil by terrorists and everyone is on board to support a war in the Middle East.

How did the terrorists (who were reportedly awful pilots) manage to turn around the planes, find the WTC and Pentagon, and crash them directly into the buildings? Why was there hardly any debris at the Pentagon?

Please watch those videos and tell me if that hasnt opened up your mind. Do you believe the 'lone gunman' theory for the JFK assassination? What about Roswell? Its not a great leap of the imagination to say that the govt is lying about things/or keeping things from the American public.

The great problem here is that most of these theories like big bangs and simple conclusions. I've been interested in the JFK assassination for years, and extensive reading still leaves one absolutely stumped. At best we can posit a few possible motives for his murder, and a few possible participants in it.

Studying the Warren report and it's subsequent endorsement by the Government leads to the conclusion that the authorities have lied and continue to support that lie. That the murder was supported by various intelligence agencies at the behest of a cabal of powerful businessmen who wanted the Vietnam conflict to escalate is not an entirely vacant theory.

Pondering that 9/11 may have been orchestrated similarly is, also, not without merit.

Where I usually become disinterested is that objective argumentation almost flies out the window. In the (almost) 45 years since JFK's assassination we've learnt alot. I can only assume the same will happen with 9/11. Having a healthy suspicion of the powers that be is fine, but letting the imagination run riot on that suspicion usually leaves us in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by fantasy.

Exactly my reaction.

Exactly. I'm not advocating any sort of conspiracy theory either, but dismissing them before you've even taken a good look at it makes you too malleable for the real conspiracies.
