Your favorite comedians

The guy still cracks me up. Has since the 80's. Sees the world a lot like I do. And the produce genocide is always a chuckle too.

It was always going to be Billy. Not only could he have you falling over with laughter, his ultimate fucking faith in humanity - despite its numerous failings - is something I've spent my entire life identifying with.

Bailey gets a vote too, especially for the Axis of Evil thing on Part Troll, nevermind the Portishead and Kraftwerk parodies! :)

Were you referring to Hicks or Connolly in the first paragraph, given the general, common distinction between their first names?

Indeed, I don't remember much of the Axis of Evil section (only had a loan of the dvd), other than their secretary on the phone... "Oh no sorry, they're all out right now....Oh I dunno, doing evil, I suppose. *loud bimbo laugh*"
Have you seen his 'Bewilderness' show? "You see, Scotland...it's a fantastic country, but they do produce the absolute, top-of-the-class, A-grade nutters."

Yep, I like all of his stuff. I was talking about Hicks, as much as I like Billy, he's never really had a transcendent affect on me!

I'm bumping this thread because I think I found a new favorite comedian...

Have you guys ever heard Jim Gaffigan's stuff?

I was in tears at work yesterday when a co-worker brought his entire comedy show on iTunes... Seriously: my make up smeard all over
my face from crying :lol::lol::lol:

I don't like comedians that look, feel, and sound awkward. Gaffigan and Hedburg are prime examples. Nervousness does not a funny make.

Lisa Lampenelli on the other hand... she's loud and beligerant and insanely hilarious. Joe Rogan is funny too, especially when cuts down people in the audience.

hmmm.... I see your point but I don't think Gaffigan is one of those at all...
Lisa Lampenelli is funny, but she does THE SAME THING! racial jokes/ making fun of audience... yada yada... and for me: she is only funny once...
guys like C.K, L.Black, and Gaffigan I can hear over and over...

I don't like stand up comedians in general, I out negative you!

In all honesty, I find it hard to laugh at pretty much any comedian. The whole thing just feels forced to me. I don't want to feel like I'm supposed to be laughing when someone says a joke. I guess I'm a bit stubborn because I look at it like "OK this guy thinks he can make me laugh and I don't think he can."

I love Lisa Lampenelli though for 2 reasons:

1. I haven't seen enough of her stuff to see her repeat herself
2. Her joke about Pam Anderson having a show on VH1 called "I Fucked the 80's" KILLED me! I swear I laughed for like 3 days at that joke hahahaha.
