What are they? Include the song and the time at which the riff appears. I know it's impossible that people only have one, so name them all.

Here are mine:

1:43 Godhead's Lament
1:27 When
4:43 Deliverance
0:20 Bleak
0:28 The Leper Affinity

Those are my favourite at the moment. Notice the use of the word favourite as opposed to "best" :D.

0:47 Moonlapse Vertigo
0:01 Master's Apprentices
Last riff before the main part fades out Drapery Falls
Opening of April Ethereal
Outro riff of April Ethereal
etc

I'll tell you - the part in BWP (the song) when it goes from the middle, slow section, to the heavy part.....that riff REALLY gives me goosebumps. What a fucking riff that is. BWP (the album) has a few riffs like that.

I'm not gonna go find the specific times, but here they are-

Beginning of The Apostle in Triumph
Beginning of The Funeral Portrait
The um... "chorus" of Demon of the Fall (It's sort of a chorus if they scream the title over and over I guess. Atleast in my book, which is called "So what if I'm wrong")
Heavy part of Dirge for November
First couple minutes of In Mist She Was Standing
The "Bring me through, Carry my empty shadow" part in Nectar.

I think for the rest I'd need to find the exact times, so meh on that.

these get stuck in my head all day

2:12 in Nectar
0:47 in Moonlapse Vertigo
Intro in Bleak

probably just for their melodic qualities

5:18 Master's Apprentices
3:14 Bleak
0:02 Face of Melinda
7:08 To Bid You Farewell
7:28 Black Rose Immortal
7:39 When
1:04 Under the Weeping Moon
8:04 The Drapery Falls
0:06 Blackwater Park
0:01 By the Pain I See In Others
0:01 Hope Leaves
4:40 Windowpane
Closure's live extended "madness" outro
2:50 Ghost of Perdition
3:20 The Baying of the Hounds (bass, drums and piano for awhile)
4:00 The Grand Conjuration
4:18 The Grand Conjuration
6:18-7:31 A Fair Judgement (Mike's solo into Peter's solo)

It's pretty interesting that we all have our own favourites.

Just like the songs and albums. Opeth don't have one or two songs that are fan favourites - ALL the songs and albums seem to be viewed in the same way.
Which is why I have no problem with people saying they don't like GR - there's plenty who do! When the big picture is looked at in years to come Opeth will be pretty unique in that all their albums will be seen in a good light.

The riff after the acoustic passage on Blackwater Park
The Solo Of The Grand Conjuration
The riff by the end of The Baying Of The Hounds
The riff after the Intro part on Beneath The Mire

when - starts at 1:27
bleak - opening riff
BWP - acoustic riff (2:47), chugga chugga riff (7:00)
Deliverance- opening riff, 7:39 onward
face of melinda - 6:36
a fair judgement - 3:46
closure - opening acoustic
hours of wealth - the awesome bluesy solo that's almost all throughout..

so many more...
