U87 on vocals, KM184s on overheads/acoustic guitars/most other stuff, 57s and 421s on guitar amps and drum shells and Beta52s on kick and bass amps. I also love the small DPA clip on microphones on guitars for singer/songwriters who sing and play guitar at the same time.

That said, I saw a video of tesseract performing at Sphere and Mos was definitely yelling into a D112.

It sounds surprisingly good on vocals. It's not nearly as scooped as the D6 (which I imagine being terrible on vocals, never tried).

Even better, the old D12 was initially used for vocals around the time it was created.

hahaha exactly, i could easily record an entire band with 57's only. but yeah i generally put one on anything i'm recording or its usually a first choice.
