Your greatest accomplishment of 2006

What defined your year?!?

For me it was a tie between HC 1 and catching Agalloch for the first time.

These two events will be with me for a long time to come. Everything else, not so much.

I'd say my achievement would be, in the matter of 4 days in august, making enough money to get to San Francisco to see Death Angel and Venom. I had about 3 bucks before hand, then I sucked dick like there was no tomorrow, and got the money.

Either that or finally seeing Blind Guardian (also in San Francisco :/) after many years of fanboyship.

Death Angel live slays my face. Blind Guardian on the other hand was very underwhelming. It was after their gig that I vowed to never watch a concert sober again.

Haha. My kids are 5 and 2.

Great ages, seriously. Being a dad is ruling my world these days. I leave work early just to go hang out with them.

In terms of accomplishments:

work - kept my job, stayed local in NYC
home - being a good dad and husband
metal - yeah, without any shadow of a doubt, Heathen Crusade 1
