There are definetly a lot of exceptions off the top of my head to this rule. But it seems to me that nowadays the music (and by this I mean mostly mainstream) industry does not care about the quality of the music itself but about looks. To see how badass you can be or much black you can wear and try to show off how much your life sucks that everyone elses. It's getting late so I'm going to write anymore. Just wanted to start a thread to hear opinions.
