The difference between Hell Awaits and Divine Intervention is that the former is Slayer's pinnacle, whereas the latter is where they shit the bed.

Anyways, best three thrash albums? I'm not as big into thrash as most but:
Slayer - Hell Awaits
Artillery - By Inheritance
Gehennah - Hardrocker, if it counts. If not, Sodom - Obsessed By Cruelty.

I'm not so much into thrash anymore, I have to listen to Hexen's sophomore finally. But perhaps I'd list Vektor's Black Future, This Godless Endeavor and Chemical Assault. You can laugh but Endgame would make it to my top 15.
