I found this on one of UMs boards. But instead of posting a link and directing everyone to their board and possably starting a flame war, I decided to copy and paste it here. I was really tempted to post my thought on their board, But I figure their opinions are their opinions. They talk their shit there, we talk our shit here.
Internet censored, America just rolls over and farts
Boing Boing | Submitted by: Rotten Staff
"Amended Section 2257 recordkeeping regulations go into effect at midnight tonight. The federal law requires website owners to keep records documenting, among other things, that every performer portrayed in a visual depiction of actual sexually explicit conduct is over the age of 18. In anticipation, porn sites and others that include adult content are preparing to make their sites compliant -- or taking them offline. Today, several sites in the Rotten.com family are going dark for that reason, including ratemyboner.com (like amihotornot for amateur snapshots of a particular male anatomical part in a particular state) and gapingmaw.com (which you could call an industrial-strength grossout blog). Section 2257 is ostensibly aimed at preventing the exploitation of minors in pornography. However, some free speech advocates argue it provides the conservative Bush administration with the power to silence other websites deemed offensive."
[The regulations were promulgated by Alberto Gonzales, US Attorney General appointed by George Bush. If you voted for Bush, this is your fault. If you think this country is free, you are sadly mistaken. No nation has freedom when it is run by religious zealots.]

- I
personally think this law is a great one. I can not see why it so hard for some people to accept that chick you watched get banged by 3 guys, (you know the one you looked at and said to yourself, " Damn this chick looks young") is really only 17 or 16 or 15 years old. Religious or not, it wrong and has been against the law for a long time.

CNN | Submitted by: SHADE 45 MOTHERFUCKER
"The House on Wednesday approved a constitutional amendment that would give Congress the power to ban desecration of the American flag, a measure that for the first time stands a chance of passing the Senate as well. By a 286-130 vote -- eight more than needed -- House members approved the amendment after a debate over whether such a ban would uphold or run afoul of the Constitution's free-speech protections." [With picture of what a burning flag looks like.
It boogles the mind when you think about how some american people can be so ignorant in burning a flag that doesnt represent just our goverment, it represent you and me and the people in our armed forces, and the people who died in every war from 1776 to 2005. It should be against the law to burn a flag, cause its a matter of respect.
And so it begins: Feds raid San Francisco pot clubs
San Francisco Chronicle | Submitted by: Uncle Ben
"Federal agents raided three San Francisco medical marijuana dispensaries today as part of a broader investigation into money laundering and Asian organized crime, authorities said. The operation targeted two cannabis clubs on Ocean Avenue and another on Judah Street, and came just two weeks after the U.S. Supreme Court — in a crushing blow to the medical marijuana movement — ruled that the federal government had the authority to prosecute people whose actions are legal under state law. Law enforcement sources said the clubs were not targeted for drug operationsut say they were allegedly being used as fronts for money-laundering operations."
If it was a cannabis club being busted for selling people weed because they have cancer or glucoma. I could see why the hippies would be all in a uproar, but I belive the article was about the Asian mob.
Survey says we're all fucked
CNN | Submitted by: BARBELlTH
"The chance of an attack with a weapon of mass destruction somewhere in the world in the next 10 years runs as high as 70 percent, arms experts have predicted in a U.S. survey." ... "The most likely scenario for a nuclear attack would be for terrorists to use a weapon they made themselves with material acquired on the black market, the survey said." ... "Weapons of mass destruction (WMD) are designed to kill large number of people, using either nuclear, biological, chemical or radiological means."

Be scared. Its coming, we should burn a flag, sit around smoke pot, watch underage girls in fuck flics and internet pictures, and bitch about how oppressed we are as a nation the whole time shitting your pants on how some jawa sandfucker is going to blow us all up?

Nuke plant loses fuel rods, gets handslap
Wired News | Submitted by: Kaiser Wilhelm
"A Vermont nuclear plant violated safety rules when it lost track of two rods of highly radioactive spent fuel, but the facility will not be fined, federal regulators said Wednesday. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission determined that records at the Vermont Yankee plant listed an inaccurate description of where the fuel had been stored since 1980, and previous inventories had not discovered the problem. The pieces were eventually found in the plant's spent-fuel pool, where they posed no danger. If the rods had somehow been placed outside the spent-fuel pool, regulators were concerned that they could have been mixed with other radioactive components and mistakenly shipped to a burial site for low-level nuclear waste."

You ever lose your keys? Its the same thing. Its probley because the people running these places burn a flag, sit around smoke pot, watching underage girls in fuck flics and internet pictures, and bitch about how oppressed we are as a nation, the whole time shitting your pants on how some jawa sandfucker is going to blow us all up...

1. I never understood how having three cocks inside a teenager is free speech. Sounds a bit like rape or prostitution to me.

2. How is flag-burning free speech? Sounds like vandalism to me. If someone horrifically desecrates one of my cherished symbols, why am I preventing from sawing off their arm with a picnic knife?

3. If medical weed is such a saviour, why the fuck are all its advocates rapidly aging Jim Croce look-alikes?

4. Why is this survey asking Joe Average-Dickhead how we're all gonna die? Joe A.D. just wants to get fat watching "My Wife and Kids" and eat pretzels. Leave him alone!

5. Losing fuel rods is fuel for the anti-nuclear hippies. Here's what I don't get. Hippies hate clean efficient nuclear power and they hate polluting oil and coal, but they still want their electricity. Question is, Can elderly hippies read bolshevik pamphlets by the light of their smoldering joint?

1) I never felt a need to watch 14 years old sucking three cocks, one of which belongs to a dog or horse
2) I never comprehended what kind of "protest" it is to burn a flag. Only shit-for-brains do that.
3) Drug dealers and narcotic mafias should be shot where they stand. ALL of them.
4) Maybe we´ll succumb to a huge terrorist attack, maybe I get run over by a car the next day, maybe a brick will fall on my head today, why be scared? Fuck that.
5) I had some discussions with anti-nuclear hippies and found out they don´t have a fucking clue what they´re talking about.

2. Well, it's called "flag desecration." You see, the proper way to dispose of an American flag is to burn it. The anti-first amendment crew doesn't want to outlaw that. They only want to burn the message of the action, which is why they must amend the Constitution. It will be a sad day when printings of the Constitution have a footnote for the first amendment which says "modified by the 28th amendment."

Also, flags that are your own property are still protected from being stolen and burned. If people want to burn their own property and it doesn't harm other people (and I don't mean their feelings) then fucking let them. Quit being a crybaby.

3. That's not true. Plenty of respected doctors support medical marijuana, or at least support research on it. And I've met Randy Barnett, the lawyer who attempted to defend the interstate commerce clause from the Justice Department's assault on it. He's definitely no pot-head. He gave me a Mountain Dew too. Besides, why do you think people should go to jail for smoking a joint?

So if I sell a joint to my friend who really wants it, you think I should be shot on the spot? Why?

Why, are you a goddamned pusher? Are you a cursed muthafuckin pusher?? ...Or are you just getting your friend high? There's a difference. Don't go overboard.

I agree with Johnnie. Smoke the goddamned pushers, hang their corpses in the town square. Its no good prosecuting the buyers and users. The sellers are the muthafuckas and must be put to death!

The fewer the sellers, the fewer the buyers. Simple logistics.

Hey, weed is meant to be enjoyed, not to be some so-called "medicine." Please!

But I'll be sure that a Twenny gets you a single joint the size of a dried circumcision, muthafucka!

I've never smoked anything in my entire life. I was simply asking a question. Now tell me, I have a video of Billy taking a hit. (Columbus 2000 with SOD) You want to kill him too?

It takes two to tango. I don't see *why* people who sell drugs must be automatically killed. It's a rather laughable position to hold. (Though there is nothing funny about your blind faith in government to solve any problem, which is pretty close to what liberals believe.) Sure, there are some shady figures involved in selling drugs, but that is mainly because it is illegal. The same thing happened with alcohol in the 20s/30s.

That makes sense and will DEFINITELY solve the drug problems:Smug: . Give me a break we all know how well the prohibition went and how successful Ronnie's "War on Drugs" was.

These modern day battles that we face have some rather unrighteous and radical solutions that many blue blooded bible toting hard headed americans are unwilling to even attempt to tackle...

The thing is we are fed so much crap for x amout of hours of day our attention span has greatly dwindled to the point where we forget things rather quickly.

Free speech is free speech and needs to be left alone. A lot of things i don't agree with but fact of the matter is people are trying to net every last "crime" and the thing is the tighter that net gets dragged,,,the harder it is for us to enjoy our freedoms.

Porn isn't wrong at all but when it does include minors it is....but this isn't the right way to go about it...this is just a big burden for all involved in one of the few profitiable industries since the internet went commercial.

took amazon nearly 6 years to even just get out of the red...at least.

the war on drugs is another laughing matter that seems like a huge black hole because of the marijuana issue...take away the illegality of it and legalize and tax the hell out of it and put the crooks out of business for a time being much like alcohol.

I don't care if you want to smoke pot,,,i just ask that you don't operate machinery and just hang out at home or with your friends out of the possibility of being a public nusicance.

as for the other harder drugs such as crack heroin ice, meth, etc. now those are people that really need to be treated/prosecuted accordingly. its hard to tackle being that no one wants to pay the taxes to do these things right becuase the ones we half assed put in office wind up wasting a lot on stupid crap..

im guilty of this as well but alot of us are just really self absorbed in this society.

No I didn´t mean that. "Drug dealers" I meant the guys who make a living selling crack and horse to kids.

Im surprised that we are all arguing about weed and not the fact that our rights are slowly being taken away.:erk: Personally, I really dont care about the weed thing, I think it is better that it is illeagal. If a cancer victim wants to buy weed im sure that they wont have a problem finding it on the street and it would probley be cheaper.

But the thing that bothers me the most is that everytime regulations are put on the internet it is a free speech issue. Sites like consumtionjunction.com, bangedup.com and rotten .com who regularly have videos of hardcore sex, beastiality, gay sex, BDSM are to easily accessed by minors. The only reason they cry about it is because they know that if they are required to ask for a credit card for age verification they will lose 3/4s of the hits they recive daily, which in turn they will recive less money from their banner ads and such.

Its a money issue not freespeech.

Weed is a Medicine, and I enjoy it very much thank you! :) the war on weed is silly, but, ya know, if the Majority think it's evil, then it must be... but times will change, They always do, and maybe I can move over to Amsterdam, that would be a Nice Change!

Boyyyy, I done told you: my very first post on this forum said clearly, "It's not about solving problems, its about dealing with them."

If you make the shit (e.g., heroine, meth) hard to get, only the hardest addicts will struggle to get it.

If you make the shit (e.g., kiddie porn) hard to get, only the most twisted deviants will work all night long trying to get it.

If you make the shit (e.g., gay pride) hard to get, only the most dense morons will protest Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

Fine, prohibition was a failure. The liquor lords of yesterday are the drug lords of today, but we all see that the Gambinos and Gottis and Genovese are nothing like the Capones and Lucianos and Lanskys.

Let the war on drugs continue! It will never be won, but it can be lost because limp weaklings want to give up.
