Early Y&T (very different to their later 1987 & 1990 albums) has some of the most notoriously bad video clips ever made! I remember sitting at a friend's place a few years ago watching them all in hysterics!
They definitely sharpened up later on... But those early ones are horrendous!! Extremely funny!

Yeah but that was the 80's so many tacky videos, it was cool So all those clips were from their earliest stuff, eh?
Did they change musical direction again? it looks like they were going pretty soft. Meanstreak was my clear favourite

Nah just the early stuff had a lighter "summer rock" kinda vibe, cheesier & all that.. a bit more towards Autograph & a harder rockin Night Ranger, then by the late 80s they went more towards what Whitesnake did in the late 80s with the slicker melodic hard rock thing but still a bit tougher sounding than most of the pop-metal acts.. Similar style to that 1987/Slip Of The Tongue era of Whitesnake. They have some metallic tracks scattered throughout the catalogue but as far as I know I don't think it was ever really their sound... Contagious seems to be the hardest rockin' album.
