Yep, it's gonna be huge. Maiden touring Australia, and Mysterious Cities of Gold on DVD - could this be the best year ever?

I was never a big fan of the show, to be honest, but I think that's because it came out around the same time as Voltron, and I expected all animated sci-fi shows to be about giant robots transforming into things. This is similar to why I hated the show Airwolf - it was around the time of Knight Rider, and if a show is about a helicopter, then why isn't the helicopter talking? I was crushed, because a talking helicopter would have been awesome.

I remember seeing Ulysses 31 well before I did Voltron and also had a soft spot for it, because it wasn't like the other cartoons out at the time and didn't go on about morals and such at the end.

I watched every cartoon that was out as a kid and liked and hated them on their own merits, not because they weren't like other shows.

Now, who here remember the original Captain Harlock, Captain Future and Battleship Yamoto?

Here's Robotech w/ Aces High. I was a bit too young to appreciate this show at the time, I think. A shame because it was pretty cool.
