i had an einstein for 2 years and really loved it. what i didnt like about it was that in comparison it didnt really cut through (especially in rehearsal situations) compare that beast to a single recto, and you wont believe your ears,
seems like the eini is very soft in the upper mids, even with full treblee and presence...

maybe my orange ppc 212 was not a good match, but i compared other amps to the einstein,
and in comparison i missed clarity.

now i have the axe ultra and cant complain about presence ;-)

I have a hard time too with my PPC212, pretty dark sounding, I have to crank Treble and Presence to get rid of the "dullness".
Imo it's difficult to get it sounding right for an open sounding metal tone...

The Eini sounds nice, cool tone to blend.

true! but i tried mesa v30s and rectos still kill the eini.

ppc is not perfect for metal tones, tahts true.

those tones were tasty!

very loomis like too. I might have to say that I prefer your tone over his, as his always sounds too woofy and cardboard like for my tastes.

That's some real tasty tone Ola! If I may, what does your guitar processing usually consist of? Your tones are so up front and in your face/loud.

thanks!
