Zakk Wylde BLS tickets on sale tomorrow

I don't think they are that great musically...fairly simple riffs (though they do have some killers), fairly simple solos, sometimes generic lyrics, etc, so I don't think they will ever do a masterpiece...BUT...I just really enjoy listening to them sometimes. Like say Halford's solo stuff...some of it is generic as metal gets, but I love it none the less, and Live Insurrection is one of my favourite albums. Sometimes plain old metal can be great! That is why I like Arch Enemy.

I have my tickets, and see no problem in paying $70 for them. It's Zakk f'king Wylde! For his work with Ozzy alone it's worth every cent!

:OMG:

I don't have a problem with it, I just can't afford it. $70 just seems too much to scrape together, when there are more tours announced that will be cheaper and that I would rather attend. If I had the disposable income, I wouldn't be complaining, and if I get a job in the near future (and it doesn't sell out), I still hope to go.

If my addition has improved since I left school, then fucking congratulations!

I'll definitely be there, hopefully front and centre :headbang:

Well the fuck done man!

Just about every Zakk solo seems to have pinch harmonics....like he can't find a better way to make fucking ace solo's, and I am only really talking BLS stuff, the Ozzy solo's are generally awesome

Fucking amazing!! Right up there with Opeth as my favourite gig! :headbang:

However, The Palace is really a crappy venue. The stage is far too low. Knock it down, start again.

And for the record, Vanishing Point were once again amazing. Quite simply they have to be the top and most professional band in the country at the moment. I know for a fact they gained a few more fans from last.

Great gig, but like Sebastian Bach my memories of it are a little sketchy - big weekend!!! How was his guitar sound? HUGE! Had a hilariously fun night though!! And day for that matter... Got to meet Zakk at his hotel too, filmed an interview for a guitar magazine. Nicest dude!!! Hugged everyone and everything, and first thing he said when he saw my Kiss shirt was point out Paul and go "Look at Paul Stanley! Classic!" or something - what a champ! Super nice guy...

My thoughts exactly! Sometimes it's fucking impossible to see there. It was ok for Bach, but when Vai played there I struggled to see anything at all.

Glad to hear it was a good gig though!

At a gig like Vai, that would have been terrible. To not actually be able see the guitar being played (as was the case for most of the Zakk gig) is pretty damn frustrating.
