Zebulon Pike - instrumental calculus doom

Instrumental doom in the vein of "Pelican meets The Fucking Champs meets Wishbone Ash meets Black Sabbath". I think the key feature worth listening to here are the dual guitarists just harmonizing the fuck out of each other's playing, and not losing a shred of emotion.

The first sample is obviously glorious -- little to dislike, but the second one is a little more 'fucked up'...all until that pounding doom riff at around the minute mark so be prepared to crank the volume.

NO. wtf, lol. I hadn't the foggiest.

I found out about them through Underdogma Records website; one of my favorite mail order sites. I read the description and instantly ordered it. I still have to listen to it A LOT more for it to sink in fully. Nevertheless, it will own many fans of prog/doom/instrumental.

I've heard two tracks from these guys (one from www.stonerrock.com, which is a good place to sample obscure doom/stoner bands) and I was impressed with both, need to hear more. These guys realize that doom lives and dies by the strength of the riffs alone...

To add, this stuff gets better and fucking better each and everytime you go back to it. You discover different nuances everytime as well.
