so far ive positively gushed over bands such as: In Flames Charon Nightwish Sinergy Children of Bodom another band that has caught my interest is theatre of tragedy......i think they are very very interesting, i really dig the slant they have in their music, a nice blend of electronica...

ive been listening to nightwish lately and i find their music to be absolutely outstanding blend of melody , power and superlative vocals.....if there are bands out there who are of the same/similar style......id be obliged if you could list them here. thanks in advance :tickled:

i cannot disagree ...kimberly goss is a mutt in the good looks stakes. tarja in nightwish aint a beauty either...but those cans she has are just maginificent !!one thing she has in common with goss is imho superlative vocal ability though. :p its refreshing to read posts form members...

seriously.....................? kimberly goss can sing with passion, a rarething in metal indeed. i had some stuff from the death side of the fence, i satback andlistened to "vocals" that were imho nuthin short of "bawagggghhhhh reuugggggghhh deaggghhhhhhtttt" i mean.....what the hell is...

i cannot deny satch is a proficient player....no probs there. talking comparisons, say dave gilmour to joe satriani, i see gilmour as an outpouring of every human emotion portrayed by a guitar, i see satch as 5 hrs at an insurance company annual general meeting about shareholders and stock...

metallica up to and including justice for all...this band reigned, everything since...............BOLLOCKS !!

personally.................i cannot abide satriani music, all that whammy, fingertapping, squeals and noises , divebombing and flash harry trickery..............oh gawd, what a yawn it has become. take a guy like dave gilmour who can literally make a gtr weep..now that is what i deem music...

apparently quite a few............................ what wrong with them ? i think the songs are first rate, its bull like death metal and that crap that that bore me senseless. if a band can genuinely play, have a stunning singer and write songs of high calibre.....i dont understand your...

I would usually not give a metal band that had a female singer or guitarist one second of my attention. then........................i got a load of material by Sinergy not knowing the singer was a girl...............the music floored me !!!! Now ive gotten stuff by a band called Nightwish...
