i dunno if kevin talley (ex- Dying Fetus/Misery Index) is the fastest, but hes probably one of the best all around. Misery Index's new drummer is badass too.

i dont think metal "deserves" any more respect than any other kind of music. its genre that some people enjoy and others dont. it shouldnt matter what "the mainstream" thinks about it. if you like it, listen to it. if you dont, fuck off. those hot topic kids are losers though.

misery index/structure of lies split cd

ive been drumming about 3 years and practicing a decent amount for that time good:blasting, double bass, death metal technique in general, rudiments, pretty fast overall bad:i suck at funk drumming. i dont have enough soul power...my endurance is pretty low at tempos above 240 for blasting...

it all depends on the situation. sometimes you need some really emotional music to tickle your fancy and othertimes listening to some crazy tech guy works. thats why there's so many kinds of music...for different moods and stuff

im not a guitar player but just becaus somebody cant play a punk song doesnt mean that they arent a good musician. while 95% of the time metal is more technically proficient in every aspect than punk, it doesnt matter because technical proficiency isnt the point of punk. its about having fun...
