Recommend some American shows for an Aussie

Sweet, sounds awesome dude. I have to sit down with a couple mates and work out what we'd like to see driving across America, if there isn't too much then maybe we will drive a bit and then fly the rest of the day. Gotta make sure I am in SF for the bachelor party of course ;)

Recommend some American shows for an Aussie

Hi guys, I'll be heading to America in June for a friends wedding and am most likely going to be over there for 4 weeks so i'd be quite keen to check out some bands. I should be in San Fran from the 8th of June to the 16th and after that i'll be making my way down the coast to Vegas and...

    Anyone heard of Mammal?

For gear heads, Pete had a JCM 900 and a Mesa Rectifier hidden behind his cab on stage. I think he slaved the JCM through the Mesa Poweramp. I noticed this at the gig they did at YahYahs in Collingwood, it was an awesome little benefit show where they filled a hat with song names and had people...

    Anyone heard of Mammal?

I think I saw them somewhere over 50 times for the duration of their career and have heard many stories surrounding the breakup, once zeke left the band the others wrote some songs and were looking for a new singer but they were kinda burned out from the whole experience and didn't have the...

THE GETAWAY PLAN (Melb Aus) - David Bottrill

Yeah i've heard that the album is pretty damn amazing from a guy who got an early copy to review for a magazine, are you heading to the show at the hifi in december? There are a few live versions floating around on youtube which will give you some sort of idea about what to expect, I think...

THE GETAWAY PLAN (Melb Aus) - David Bottrill

I wasn't a huge fan of Phantoms, it's an alright song but not an outstanding song. I think The Reckoning is much stronger and love that it is heading in a direction musically for them. Can't wait for the album.

    Circles

I caught these guys at revolver a few months ago and was totally blown away, looking forward to checking out their set at Creepshow. Must acquire EP! BTW if you're heading to Creepshow you should check out Anna Salen, they'll be doing the Mario Brothers theme again.

    Does Joey Widen Clean Vocals?

I had a lot of trouble getting vocal takes to sound identical and lined up until I started recording in small segments with the loop on, that way you click record and do up to 12 takes, then listen back to them all and find the 2-3 that work best together.

Dayum its hard getting a hold of Joey!

I'd record DI's and midi the drums and upload it on the forum offering to pay for the best mix your EP and then do a blind shootout with your bandmates. There are a lot of really talented people on these forums and with the amount of information passed between each other they are only getting...

    Legendary 'Thriller' Metal Cover

Dude this sounds great, I agree the guitars are a bit powerful. Apart from that I love the guys voice.

    Underoath - Disambiguation

+1 Absolutely love the sound of this album. Caught them earlier in the year with A Day To Remember at Festival Hall and they were pretty awesome, except Tim's vocals on the clean parts are really forced and strained. Really hope he goes to get some proper vocal coaching so he can sing them...

New film clip featuring our vocalist

Benny H's post was serious, yet he can't take serious people serious. EDIT: BTW the clip is really well shot, I like the shots where the camera moves with the band member but uses tracking to keep them centred and in focus.
