My dc727 is my favorite seven string guitar...I own 4 (including custom shop bc rich)....mine is all mahogany with a quilt maple top and ebony fingerboard...Carvins tend to be bright to begin with, so the mahogany helps out if anything, no low end problems at all on mine, I have duncan custom...

I've been having the same problems as well with Metal Foundry...tried copying the files onto another computer and transferring them, still didnt work....been going back and forth with Toontrack support...they supposedly sent new discs my way, but the holidays have slowed it down....so i've owned...

I have 2 Ibanez 7's, a Carvin dc727, and a USA BC rich Mockingbird 7....while they all kick ass...my carvin gets picked up the most...the ibby second...there are silly deals to be had on used carvin 7's and japanese made ibanez 7s...i paid 250 for one of my ibbys....I'm not much of a Schecter...
