A recently purchased a very good and underated unit : TFpro M16. 16 transformer pres designed by Ted Fletcher, with summing possibilities. I got it for almost nothing, and I used it recently for recording a guitar cabinet. Very neutral, precise, round and rich. A very good surprise !

I just bought the Benrod Classic Screamer, which is a replica of the old good TS808 with the magic chip inside. This pedal also got a true bypass, is absolutely silent (!) - no noise at all, and hand made. And it's sound truly amazing ! Arnaud

I personaly use Softube Metal Amp room, which is a wonderful tool, and very easy to use. I find it more natural sounding than the POD. Maybe you should also try the LEPOU plugins (freeware). Some sneapsters here use them with great result.

Also thanx for making me discover LEPOU plugs. I didn't know them before and they seem to make a fuckin good amp simulator !
