The music on Scarlet Evil...is so good that i couldnt care less what the cover is. Sure the new one is terrible, but the MUSIC must be in my collection. I'll buy the original if I can find it though.

Blessed just flows incredibly well. The production used to bug me, but now I think it adds to the atmosphere.

Prometheus is better than Equilibrium for sure. Also, I agree with the folks who say that Blessed is better than Altars.

I am also a big fan. I disagree with there not being a bad album in their catalog though. Scarsick is not very good. Everything else is BRILLIANT however. Entropia and Be are my favs. The BE DVD is mindblowing!!

Good I suppose. Doesn't leave me with much at the end though. Not very memorable. Would be amazing live however.

I agree with V5's posts throughout. There is some good deathcore and metalcore. It is just really over saturated at the moment. The same exact thing happened to death metal in the mid 90's. It's funny how a lot of third tier death metal bands from that era are now championed by the same people...

Solar Soul is very so-so, kinda boring even. Passage however is essential.

So I have read a lot of reviews on this box set and all of them seem to be of high praise. The only place I can find it is on Ebay for about 50 bucks. What is everyones opinion on it and is it worth buying. I'll seek it out if I should.

I like all that is listed here. It's great to see Unleashed get some praise! SitD is such an ace album, the song "Bloodbath", what an amazing sound on that one! A band that has gotten no mention is Grave, Into the Grave is a great album and deserves to be mentioned. Another sorta obscure choice...

Dawn-Slaughtersun and Sacramentum-Far Away from the Sun are the 2 best black/death metal albums EVER.

Someone mentioned Inquisition, good call, but they have what must be THE WORST promo shots EVER.
