Also this year hoping for a great metal SDX, where everything is in tune. SDX is the flagship after all.
I hope I won't be dissapointed. ;)
SD3 would be nice, but is it realistic having it released during metal month?
I don't know if you tried, but when using quad tracking it usually works better for me when one left and right track are lower in volume (the ones that are more panned towards the center). Less phasey but still get the effect. And don't forget that an incredible bass guitar adds more than a lot...
Difficult to answer for someone else. If I'd only get to keep one cab it'd be my Marshall cab for sure.
Since you have 3 cabs already, there should be room for just one more. And Marshall cabs are cheap. ;)
Indeed, I got the 5153 for this convenience, haven't tried the 100W version. And the mini sounds great to me.
About the volume, I can do a master volume test with the 5153 if interested. E.g. starting with 0.5 master volume and going up from there.
Yes indeed that's what I meant with lots of modern amps sounding good at low volumes. It doesn't work with my JCM 800 or 6505. It works perfectly well with the 5150 III (mini in my case) though.
I don't think there's an ultimate solution for this. I feel most modern amps should sound just fine without any power tube distortion. I think the difference comes more from the bigger movement of the speakers? It's not that much though, I did a test once with different master volume settings...
Nice, great cover! Thanks for sharing the tracks!

Thanks for these tracks! This is the way death metal should be done. :heh:
Hopefully you and your friend will get inspired again, pretty epic move to make a 15+ minute song like this, awesome.
Here's my go, hope it's any good...
Thanks Tim. Yep I don't have to get WUP every year which is nice. This time I mainly got it to get the Schepps 73 EQ, and am just hoping for releases like that in the coming year. It's sort of becoming like gambling haha. And then a seemingly nice plugin pops up, which has to be in the damn...
