    Best opeth album

Good point. It's kind of sad, no? To think that they may never top that phase again...

Any info about the next album Mikael?

I had already noticed it. Opeth fans are generally not Therion's. While the contrary isn't true, mostly.

    ulver

The idea of Kveldssanger is great! (acoustic guitar-chanting-based folk medieval-like music) But IMO, the schizophrenic vocals ruin it, plus it's too monotonous. Still, the acoustic guitar sounds beautiful sometimes, when you're not tired yet, what happens around half the album... Two...

Your Top 5 most anticipated releases of 2006

Mine are absolutely: THERION (weird nobody mentioned!!! Speak bad of it and die) HAGGARD (weird nobody mentioned!! Speak bad of it and die) ANATHEMA CRADLE OF FILTH THEATRE OF TRAGEDY (doesn't seem promising by the samples...)

HELP!!!! Metal/rock groupes qui chantent en français

Well remembered!!!!!! This is a genuine french thrash metal band!! Unfortunately thrash vocals aren't quite the best stuff for learning french hehe. For the people who cited Jacques Brel. Oui, j'aime beaucoup son musique, spécialment "Ne me quitte pas", le classique parole à la classe du...

HELP!!!! Metal/rock groupes qui chantent en français

Thanks! This is a great band, though they sound more like Tristania and do not sing in french...

HELP!!!! Metal/rock groupes qui chantent en français

Hey folks I'm searching for any metal/rock bands who sing in french. First because it's cool to hear metal in latin languages (i.e. Brujeria) second because it's a GREAT help when you're learning that language. Lacrimosa and Rammstein have been of great help for my improving my german. So, any...

    One Last Goodbye/Parisienne Moonlight

That explanation by the author himself makes that song (OLG) even more magical to me, because I know now those feelings are REAL, the grief in the vocals are REAL and besides, the fact that it refers to a son crying to his mother makes it even more strong than if it were about lovers simply...

    depressive album wanted

I still couldn't find something more depressive (and weird) than SOPOR AETERNUS. The woman sings crying!! Amazing!!

    One Last Goodbye/Parisienne Moonlight

Have they ever done better than this?? I don't think so. IMO it's the most emotional and beautiful moment in their discography. The passionate heartbreaking vocals in One Last Goodbye, the floydian guitar tone, the poignant lyrics ("I still feel the pain/I still feel your love), the piano intro...

A Fine Day To Exit versus A Natural Disaster

The strength of AND are the vocals. Just listen to Balance, Natural Disaster and Flying. You don't have those emotional vocals in AFDTE. Besides AND is way more creative and dinamic (AFDTE sounds kind of boring IMO) I go for AND any day!!

    A Natural Disaster front cover

This is one of the most poignant images I've ever seen. The feeling of solitude is so strong that makes me feel sad... That red sky, the lonely man locked in the middle of nowhere... Other favorite of mine is Opeth - Blackwater Park, very very sad also........

How did you get into Katatonia?

From Opeth, which leads directly to Brave Murder Day. I must confess I'm not a huge Kata fan... except for that album, which has a great feeling. I've listened to LFDGD and Viva Emptiness, but none of those impresses me much.
