Damned shame about Steve leaving the band, he's a great character and bassist! He will certainly be missed but hopefully a suitable replacement can be found to keep the quest alive!

The day that never comes actually impressed me, wasn't what i was expecting from the new album (i.e. it was actually vaguely a good song!) but Cyanide and My Apocalypse (which is up on metallica.com) don't interest me at all really.

I love alestorm but i've not heard any other bands that are folk/battle really. But then i wouldn't class alestorm as folk metal and i'm not entirely sure what battle metal is :lol:

What songs did Avantasia play? I was gonna go to Wacken just to see them but the price was gonna be too much and i figured they'd only play Scarecrow songs which at the time i hadn't fully got into (awesome album now!)
