neuman + telfunken = poop. need some serius processing tips

Have you tried pulling the vocal back a few db's? I think it would sit quite well if it wasn't so loud

how do you route your delay live?

Ahh I didn't see that. Yes, basically that. I use the Ground Control GCX system, it has 8 loops which can all be independantly switched in or out of the signal chain, so it's great for providing a true bypass for all my effects. I can set it so certain loops are before the amp, others are in the...

how do you route your delay live?

Well personally I would use a midi controlled loop switcher to create your own switchable fx loop.

Good interface w/ amazing preamps 200-300$? Suggestions Needed.

Unfortunately, 'amazing' doesn't really happen in that price range, not until you triple it...per channel of preamplification. 'Adequate' does happen though, and there's probably nothing more adequate than the saffire in your price range.

Quad tracking with two different rhythmn parts...

    I've always liked using Part 1 : 100L, 80R Part 2 : 80L, 100R for any harmony parts or separate rhythm parts.

5150 III 50 watt and 100 watt comparison clips

This could definitely be significant. I have only used the Peavey variants, but mine definitely brightens up significantly as the volume increases, especially at very low levels.

5150 III 50 watt and 100 watt comparison clips

Hmmmm, None eq'd clips...I prefer 50 watts But eq'd clips.. I prefer 100 watts. I kinda have a feeling that if you adjusted the settings on the 100 watt amp to be a bit brighter, I would prefer it without eq as well.

Mesa: Mark IV vs Mark V

Oh definitely, it was tighter. However, I felt if there was ever an amp that didn't need to be tighter, it was the Mark IV. The extra tightness was somewhat of a negative for me. I couldn't get quite the sound I love from my IV. I am by no means a connoisseur of Mark I type sounds, but I...

Mesa: Mark IV vs Mark V

I have a Mark IVA, and a IVB. I remember desperately wanting the V when it came out, but after playing one quite extensively in a shop, came to the conclusion that it offers nothing (for me) that I didn't already have available. I hadn't considered the Mark V since, the IV is probably my all...

    8 & 9 String guitars....

Struggling with this one, can't figure out what 1/B is. Seems really important too. It's all well and good tuning down to F#, but for fucks sake, playing a bass guitar an octave lower is NOT fun at all. Even B is getting kinda shitty... the E string on my 5 string bass sounds really...

    Adam A7s or Adam A7Xs?

I only have the A7's and haven't the x series, but I do like them a lot. I prefer my Genelecs, but could very happily work with either. It's really refreshing though, to see that this thread isn't full of people moaning that you posted in the wrong forum!

    Differentiating pleasant/unpleasant frequencies

100% agree. If you can't hear something is wrong in the first place, sweeping won't reveal anything to you. Fuck, maybe nothing IS wrong afterall! If I hear something I don't like, I get a narrow q and a huge boost and sweep around until the boosted frequency matches the pitch of whatever...
