I think it is all a bit lame to stuff bands into boxes. There are definitely differences between major categories like Country and Metal, but past that, who cares? If you like what you hear, what difference does it make if the music fits a defined subcategory? And screw subjectivity. I'm so sick...

So far, I'm liking Octavarium. It's more intriguing than ToT. I'll give a few more listens definitely. It's disappointing when a band that you like diverges from your taste, but how can anyone fault an artist for doing what they want? I agree that a producer could possibly make the songs...

When did music become a sport?

Twilight is my favorite SX album in a tie with V. I find those two the most listenable throughout. I don't skip any songs on either.

I play guitar(a couple of Jacksons, through a Johnson Millenium combo), drums(9-piece Pearl kit, Zildjian cymbals), sing, and dabble with keyboards. I used to play bass many moons ago, but I no longer have a bass to practice on.

I hope they're on the bill for Tucson.

Listened to the clips... Couldn't really tell much except that I thought it sounded like ToT(I didn't like ToT). I'm still hoping for the something good.<crosses fingers>
