Absolutely Petrucci over Vai. Sure, Vai is a virtuoso on the guitar, but he mainly freaks, he does not play (live at least, I do have some cd's)..... I watched him and all I could think was "ok, when are you starting to play? We all know you're fantastic with a guitar......"

Satch rules !!! And I saw Vai once at a Jimi Hendrix tribute. Boy, did he suck !!!!! I left before it was over otherwise I would have gone sick..... I'll take Petrucci any day before Vai....... I do have a G3 dvd of Satch, Johnson and Vai though......... G3 is always Satch and two other...

I really don't remember, too long ago and I bought too much too remember. Besides, I don't have all that anymore. But chances are it was Thriller indeed. Only about 7 years later, when I was 19, I was lost to metal....

Some more intelligent bands will base their music on the medieval times. This is absolutely not new, as well as the fact that metal is closely linked to classical music. I think that (also) it has to do with the human psyche (of all times). Where there is stress or a society that expects you...

Listened to the first two songs on myspace, the first one was too much doomy for my taste and the second too chaotic (and I adore Death and Dream Theater) But there is no accounting for taste is there?

Well, bought an Iron Maiden album 'by accident' (Somewhere in Time and Live after Death) and the moment I listened to it (I bought it cause I was in a rush and knew Wasted Years), I was sold !!! Since then, it got gradually worse.........hahahahaha
