18 is actually 9?

I'm sorry if this is obvious or if you have discussed this before but what do these numbers mean in the king diamond world? It is the only thing I don't get in them.

I know that there is some actually thing in numerology about this. I don't remember exactly but it was discussed on the Diamondbangers board a few years ago. The only thing I do remember is 18 or (1 + 8) is in fact equal to 9.

King Diamond has been using the number 9 since Abigail I think.
Some of his stories have details like "18 years", "9 months"...

Besides, it is a magic number, that means a lot of things for who works with numerology. He completes constant circles, it doesn't matter like you use it: 9 N 9 are 18, and 1 N 8 are 9; 9 x 9 are 81, and 8 N 1 are 9.

yeah, the only thing I had gotten was 6+6+6=18

and 6=9 reversed.

In there bible, the book "Revelations" speaks of giving the anti christ the number of 666. Just listen to the intro of "Number of The Beast" by Iron Maiden. It's the exact passage out of the book.

I think it has to do with the realms in hell along with nine gates. The King is great love fate as well. Too bad so many people hate him. Any one watched the puppet master's DVD that came with the cd. Weird,I've listened to a lot of King and it was strange it seemed almost elementry in a way.

Some say is the numerological equivalent to the Hebrew for Nero, others that it was for Rome. In any case the acncient christians (still a Jewish sect) use it for some obscure reference to the enemy at hand (the pagan romans).
That's what I read in Elaine Paigels books about historical bible (or someone like it).
