It works better on native english speakers just simply based on the way our mind works, I read over it at first glance before counting and read it a couple more times before I got six. Its just second nature for the native english speakers to skip over the "of's" because were so used prepositions like of or to.

Actually that's wrong, you skip the "of's" because they mind interprets them as "ov's" and therefor you skip them. But as you said, the better you are at english, the harder it gets for you, theoretically atleast
