It's simple enough to realize that these 3 albums I mentioned are Flames' best with Whoracle being on the 4th place. Then it's a really difficult choice because other albums are inconsistent as fuck so perhaps I'd go with the debut.

your list is lacking Amon Amarth's best album: Once Sent From the Golden Hall. The Avenger is up there, so that's good.

I do not understand the praise for Versus the World. The band released better before and after that one. The best reason to pick up the album is for the bonus disc with Sorrow Throughout the Nine Worlds and the demo tracks.

I think the only album Amon Amarth released that is kinda subpar is Surtur Rising. My choices were based on what gets the most replay value from me.
